WOODHAVEN WEDDINGS + EVENTS WEDDING
Lauren & Patrick's Wedding
Set up on a blind date by mutual friends, this couple quickly found an easy, lasting connection—one that began over a simple happy hour and grew into a relationship centered on comfort, humor, and genuinely enjoying time together. Because they’re naturally laid-back and a bit shy in the spotlight, they thoughtfully designed a wedding day that felt authentic to them—intimate, personal, and centered on meaningful time with their favorite people. A Valentine’s Day celebration at Woodhaven set the tone, offering the perfect backdrop for a day rooted in love but layered with modern, playful details. Thoughtful choices—like exchanging private letters during their first look, having a close friend officiate, including siblings in the wedding party, and completing portraits before the ceremony—allowed them to stay present and fully enjoy cocktail hour alongside their guests.
The design embraced a bold yet joyful Valentine’s palette, with bright, “juicy” reds and pinks woven throughout florals, linens, and stationery, accented with hints of silver for a modern edge. Lush arrangements brought depth and vibrancy, while playful elements like disco ball centerpieces, a checkered dance floor, and an Anthropologie-inspired hanging floral installation added texture and personality. The overall atmosphere struck a balance between trendy and heartfelt—warm, energetic, and unmistakably them—creating a celebration that felt both elevated and effortlessly fun.
